As the demand for cosmetology services rises "employment is expected to be plentiful through the year 2000" states the 1992-93 Occupational Outlook Handbook.
"Hairstyling for men also contributes to the rising need for cosmetologists, as many men prefer the services at a full-service salon.
"Opportulnities for those who specialize in nail and skin care will be especially good," the report concludes.
The Dept. of Labor also says that many persons who enter this field manage large salons or open their own after several years of experience. Some will teach in cosmetology schools or become sales representatives for cosmetics firms or open businesses as beauty consultants. Opportunities for part-time work continue to very good.
